After 40 years of dedicated service, BBLM Architects wishes to announce the retirement of Carl M. Kaplan, AIA, a principal with the firm since 1989. With his guidance, BBLM has solidified its reputation as a strong service provider known for its expertise in healthcare design.
Carl joined BBLM in 1980 when the firm was known as Bartley, Long, Mirenda and cut his teeth on the design and construction of the Core (now Cathcart) Building at Pennsylvania Hospital. His attention to detail and ease with clients and contractors quickly led to his advancement as an Associate in 1985 and ultimately Principal in 1989. One of his proudest accomplishments has been helping BBLM maintain client relationships for decades.
We wish Carl well as he plans to spend more time on the Chesapeake and traveling.
